I enjoy HackerNews. It's been my daily companion for tech news and interesting discussions (I actually prefer using hckrnews.com for its better interface). But lately, I've been thinking about how much of our online lives are controlled by the tech giants.
The internet used to be this amazing place full of diverse voices and independent websites. Now it feels like we're all stuck in the same few social media platforms and news aggregators. That's why I started looking for other places to learn and discover new ideas.
