Why This 90s Style?
You might be wondering, "Why does this website look like it's straight outta 1999?" Well, let me tell you why I've chosen to rock this retro style:
- 90s Internet Nostalgia: I'm a big fan of the internet from the 90s and early 2000s. It was a time of discovery, when every website felt like a new world to explore. This design takes me back to those exciting days of dial-up modems and "You've Got Mail!" or "Buzz" from Yahoo! Messenger.
- Keep It Simple, Surfer: Modern websites can be overwhelming with their flashy designs and complex layouts. This 90s style keeps things simple and straightforward. No need for fancy animations or pop-ups here!
- Nostalgia Overload: Every time I look at this page, I get hit with a wave of nostalgia. It reminds me of chatting on ICQ and Yahoo! Messenger, customizing my GeoCities page, and the excitement of downloading a song that took hours (only to find out it wasn't the right one).
- No Frills, Just Content: Unlike modern websites, there's no tracking, no cookies to accept, no ads popping up, and no comment sections to moderate. It's just you, me, and the content - the way the web was meant to be!
